Gerry "Nix" Tagle, the founder of
computernix.com, has
owned and operated retail and service companies in the business sector of Houston,
Texas for more than twenty-five years. Nix's initial
interest in computers and networks began when dealing
with his own business computing needs. |
|
|
He soon found that there were few tech companies and
consultants that were positioned to address the needs of
small business and consumer level users. Seeing a window
of opportunity, he set about to bring competent and
affordable computer and network services to these
sectors. |
|
|
Nix received his first technical certification in 1989.
In addition to offering computing services through
computernix.com, and after earning several more advanced credentials,
he began teaching certification classes to other Information Technology
professionals at the corporate level. He has
since delivered many classes nationwide, to clients, employees and students of
corporations such as AT&T, Novell, SCO, Sun
Microsystems, New Horizons, Verizon Wireless,
Productivity Point International and ExecuTrain*.
He has also trained United States government IT staff
members from
NASA, the United Space Alliance and the IRS. |

Gerry moved on to teach computing courses at the university
level, recently completing more than six years at the Southern
Methodist University School of Engineering, Advanced
Computing Center in Houston, Texas. |
